Jake Paul is just a day away from his rematch with Tyron Woodley. Ahead of his fight, Paul sat down with Graham Bensinger to talk about all things boxing, his upcoming fight, and the dangers that come along with the sport.

Paul started boxing back in 2018 and became a professional in 2020. Since then, he has put in a lot of time and energy into getting better at the sport. When Bensinger asked him about the side effects of the sport, ‘The Problem Child’ spoke up about some of the problems he faces.

“I notice it in conversations with like my girlfriend or friends. Like not remembering something that I should be able to remember that happened a couple days ago. Sometimes in my speech, where there’s like every 100th or 200th word, I’ll mess up or like slur. Which I didn’t do that before,” revealed Paul.

Concussions and memory-related issues plague a lot of boxers because of the trauma their head goes through in the ring and even during training. Paul says he already feels the side effects at just 24-years-old.

It will be interesting to see if this condition influences Jake’s decision on whether or not he continues down the path of searching for greatness in the art of ‘The Sweet Science’. Paul, however, feels that there are cures for this condition.
