Is Jake Paul the unsung hero of women's boxing, or is he just riding the wave?

Jake Paul has almost done it all. Both inside and outside the boxing ring. Fighting A-listers, altering the boxing landscape, ensuring sweet science has a breeze of fresh air, and building a multi-million empire with Most Valuable Promotions, which guide the new generation of fighters. Not to mention the American fighter’s expanding financial footprint with brands such as ‘W’. While he has done everything you could ask him to do as a combat sports superstar, he takes the most pride in something else.

Paul, 27, is coming off the biggest win against Mike Tyson and has the boxing world buzzing. But instead of his win, he is proud of the co-main event on his card, and particularly his fighter, Amanda Serrano. The fight with Katie Taylor became the most viewed US women’s sporting event in history, as 50 million households tuned in to watch it. What’s more? Serrano, 36, threw the most punches in a fight in female boxing history. And she bagged the biggest paycheck in the history of female boxing.

Serrano, at 47-3-1, has emerged as the face of female boxing since tying her future with MVP, and her success is ‘The Problem Child’s biggest accomplishment of his life. Sharing the post of the Puerto Rican fighter’s achievements and accolades, Paul, at 11-1, wrote, “Amanda’s success is the biggest accomplishment of my life @serranosisters.”

‘The Real Deal’ shares similar sentiments, having signed with MVP in the first year of the promotion’s inception. She and MVP made history in April 2022 when they headlined Madison Square Garden, making it the first female fight to do so. She declared in a post on X, “My managers @jakepaul & Nakisa Bidarian took a chance on me 3yrs ago & I promised them I would die in there for them. I told them I wouldn’t let them down. I hope they believe me now, I hope they are proud of me 🙏.”

What Paul has done with Serrano, he intends to do the same with other boxers in his stable. To give them a bigger stage to flourish and secure a hefty paycheck. The Cleveland native even detailed the boxing path going forward.
