Jake Paul and Mike Perry are going all out to promote their upcoming eight-round cruiserweight fight on July 20th at Amalie Arena, Tampa, Florida. But hold on! Perry’s latest attempt at the same by flaunting a new ‘Jake Paul knockout’ chain seems to have fallen flat on its face, as fans started clowning on the piece of jewelry on social media.

‘Platinum’ Perry came in as a last-minute replacement for Mike Tyson, who was supposed to fight Paul on the same date. But because of a health emergency in May, that fight is now pushed to November 15th. In the meantime, with a mere two days left on the much anticipated clash, Most Valuable Promotions shared Perry’s new chain on Instagram.

Mike Perry predicts a knockout win!

Following their face off for the fight, MVP shared a clip of Perry on Instagram, where the BKFC champion can be seen showing off his chain, which depicts Jake Paul’s bloodied face getting knocked out. Such a stunt isn’t anything new from fighters before their fights to create interest and drive sales. However, Mike Perry might really be gunning for a KO win.

In an interview with TMZ Sports a while back, the former UFC fighter said, “We’ve never been friends. He’s never been cool with me, he wanted to beat me up, and he’s a sneaky little snake, and I’m gonna f**king knock the teeth out of his mouth. F**k him. F**k you, Jake. I’ll beat your ass, b***h”.

While Perry’s intentions are clear about a knockout, let’s just say, fans weren’t buying what Perry was selling with the chain.

Perry asked to auction his chain

With the immense hype Jake Paul has managed to drum up for his fight, the chain was bound to catch many eyes. And guess what? It did! One user blatantly accused Paul of secretly buying the chain for Perry. The user wrote, “Jake Paul probably bought it for him”. But there’s no evidence that it might be the case.

Another user reminded Perry of what happened to Rolly Romero, who pulled a similar stunt before fighting Isaac Cruz earlier this year. “Rolly Romero was the last to do something like this for pit bull Cruz n we saw what happen”, wrote the user. What happened? Isaac Cruz absolutely destroyed Romero, knocking out the boxer in the eighth round.

Meanwhile, this user seemed to have liked the chain, who commented, “actually kind of fire ngl”. If Paul didn’t have this stigma around him that his fights were fake, then a lot more people would have liked it.

Another user also praised the chain, claiming it looks good on Perry. The user remarked, “lol that Jake Paul knockout chain is bada** on Perry’s neck like he really is going to do damage, but Mike Tyson is still going to end him”. Interestingly, if Paul loses to Perry, there’s a chance the hype for the Mike Tyson fight dies down.

The next user seemed doubtful about Perry winning the fight, but suggested he should sell the chain to make some money from it. “I doubt he wins but if he does he should auction that chain. Would get so much money for it”, the user wrote. Perry might benefit more if he waits till the Mike Tyson fight, and if Paul loses that one, the chain may sell for even more.

With that said, Mike Perry flaunting his Jake Paul chain didn’t quite have the impact he would have wanted, evident from the comments. But it will be interesting to see whether he can deliver a knockout this weekend as he promised. Do you think Perry has a shot? What do you think about the chain?
