In the latest episode of BS with Jake Paul, one of the hosts asked whether his fight against Tyson would be able to surpass the PPV views of Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor. Well, that fight broke a lot of records, as it’s still the biggest crossover event to happen in the history of combat sports. However, Paul believes their fight will easily overcome that position. When his co-host asked Jake Paul if he thinks they’ll do more views than Mayweather-McGregor, the 27-year-old had some thoughts.

Jake Paul said confidently, “It’ll be more viewed, thousand percent, for sure. For sure more viewed. Obviously, it’s free so we can’t compare pay-per-view numbers.” This opinion has been backed by a lot of other entities on the internet. Even the famous comedian Andrew Schulz believes that this fight will be the biggest event watched all around the world.

Besides him, the famous NBC reporter has also supported this claim and has talked about how Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson might be a grand event that might be watched by a huge number of people all around the world.

NBC writer predicts success

Jake Paul’s meteoric rise in professional boxing presents a unique conundrum. While his past opponents haven’t exactly been the cream of the crop, his undeniable charisma and social media clout have brought a surge of interest to the sport, a feat that many established boxers struggle to achieve. His upcoming fight with Mike Tyson, a legend long retired from the ring, further blurs the lines between legitimate competition and pure spectacle.

DAZN analyst and NBC Host Chris Mannix predicts record-breaking viewership, with Netflix cleverly capitalizing on the fight’s broader appeal by making it available to all subscribers. He said, “The last couple of fights, Jake (Paul) has been going down the traditional boxing path. I didn’t think a Tyson fight was going to happen, but here we are with one of the biggest social media stars ever and one of the biggest boxing stars ever, fighting on perhaps the biggest global platform ever.

Mannix also added, “I think this will be an event unlike any other. I think this has the potential to be the most-viewed boxing event ever.” So, there’s still a lot of discussion about how this fight will attract a lot of audiences and will turn out to be a huge success for Netflix’s debut in boxing.
