Back in 2019, Andy Ruiz Jr. set the boxing world on fire by taking down Anthony Joshua. However, Joshua came right back and avenged his loss later that same year, sending Ruiz into a hiatus. Nevertheless, Ruiz has made a major comeback to the boxing scene with an impressive physical transformation. Yet, that has not gotten him the fight he was looking for. Initially, he pursued a fight with Deontay Wilder, but that fell apart quickly.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ claimed Ruiz demanded more money than what he was worth, citing the reason behind the failure of the fight. It’s also worth mentioning that ‘The Destroyer’ Ruiz is also pursuing a trilogy fight with AJ but to no avail. As per Ruiz, Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, doesn’t want that fight to happen. However, in the midst of all this chaos, Ruiz recently appeared in an interview and unraveled an offer Jake Paul made to him. Hint–it was about a UFC fight in Saudi Arabia.

During his appearance with ES News, the reporter inquired about Andy Ruiz Jr.’s hypothetical performance inside the octagon. While Ruiz wasn’t sure how he would do in an MMA fight, he went on to reveal Jake’s offer to him. “In the cage, I don’t know! As a matter of fact, Jake Paul offered me to fight Mike Perry on a UFC fight in Saudi Arabia,” Ruiz told ES News.

Later in the interview, Ruiz expressed his views on the proposal from Jake Paul, questioning Jake’s intentions. “I thought it was pretty crazy. I was like, man why? Why do you want me to fight him in the UFC?” said Ruiz. He even questioned if Jake had some beef with Mike Perry. “Do you have something against him or something?” Ruiz said. While that fight never materialized, Ruiz assumed Logan Paul might fight him.

‘The Destroyer’ claims Eddie Hearn is traumatized

Anthony Joshua’s last fight was against Robert Helenius in August, where he emerged victorious. What’s more, Joshua has been eyeing a fight against Deontay Wilder, but that fight has been pushed to April/March next year. Meanwhile, Joshua desperately wants to get back in the ring, informed by Eddie Hearn. So, Andy Ruiz, who is currently available for a fight, suggested a trilogy fight with Joshua.

However, in a recent interview with ES News, Andy revealed Eddie Hearn doesn’t want that fight to happen because Joshua’s last loss traumatized him to him. “I don’t think they want to fight. I think Eddie Hearn is already traumatized,” said Ruiz. He even went on to suggest that Hearn doesn’t want Joshua to fight good boxers unless Hearn is trying to make money and leave. “He doesn’t even want him to fight against anyone good unless he’s just trying to get his money and leave,” said Ruiz.
