Up until yesterday, Jake Paul was all set to head into a mega clash with undefeated professional boxer Tommy Fury. However, after asking Paul to not pull out multiple times leading up to this fight, Tommy Fury decided to pull out himself with just two weeks left until fight night.

In an interview after the collapse of his matchup with Tommy Fury, Jake Paul suggested that he expected Fury to pull out right from the get-go. ‘The Problem Child’ even addressed recent drug-testing claims made by the Fury corner.

Maybe they’re the ones using the steroids or whatever it is, like who knows, they’re a shady family. Do a side-by-side picture of me and Tommy, I’m like sort of, I’m like thick, but I’ve just always been naturally sort of a tubby kid, and Tommy is ripped to shreds. Why isn’t he fat like Tyson? My guess is whoever smelt it dealt it,” said Jake Paul.

Jake Paul is not buying Tommy Fury’s excuses

Following the collapse of his matchup with Jake Paul, Tommy Fury released an official press release. In the statement, the 22-year-old that he is being forced to withdraw from the fight due to medical complications. Fury highlighted that he had to pull out due to a “bacterial chest infection and broken rib”. 

I am absolutely heartbroken that I have been forced to withdraw from my fight with Jake Paul due to a bacterial chest infection and broken rib. The beginning of my camp was going so incredibly, and I never expected anything to come in my way from a victory on December 18th.

“I can’t express how disappointed I am and I really do hope that I can get this fight rescheduled in the new year. I want this fight to happen more than anything. I’m now regretfully putting my focus on recovering and a further rescheduled date,” stated Tommy Fury.

Tommy Fury’s official statement made it seem like he is genuinely injured and is regretful about not being able to make it to the big stage on December 18; however, his opponent had different thoughts on his pull-out.

Jake Paul did not believe one part of Fury’s excuse and claimed that he ‘fumbled’ out of the matchup.

When my team woke me up on Friday to tell me Tommy Fumbles was pulling out, I told them I’ll fight anyone on December 18th. Troy, Trey, Trevor, Travis,… I don’t give a f**k who it is. Tommy’s pulling out because of a “medical condition” called vaginitis,” said Paul.
