Jake Paul has gained enormous fame in a short period of time. Having switched careers from YouTube to boxing, he has fought five bouts. However, the opponents he faced were not his preferred picks.
From day one of stepping inside the ring as a prizefighter, Paul has been calling out top-notch fighters for a battle. The list is long, but the most well-known figure on his radar was the UFC megastar, Conor McGregor. But after failing several times previously, Jake has now given up on his dream to face ‘The
Notorious One’.

In the latest episode of his weekly show, Paul opened up on one of the biggest fights of his career that never happened.
When asked if he thought the fight will ever happen, Jake said, “I don’t. Unfortunately, just because I think You’ll see like what I do to Anderson and he’ll say like why would I make this kid 1oo million dollars and lose to him so he can make his name of me and by he’s who knows what that guy is doing. You know, he’s like his career is coming to an end.”

Reportedly, the Ohio-based influential boxer was so eager to fight McGregor that he was even ready to step inside the octagon for an MMA battle.
In an effort to make his point, Paul even cited the example of Canelo Alvarez and David Benavidez.
What did Jake Paul say about Canelo Alvarez?
The undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez is said to be ducking the former two-time super-middleweight champion, Benavidez. However, the Mexican icon has his own reasoning behind it. According to him, he represents his country now, so he did not want to face any fighter from his own country.

However, Paul thinks otherwise; in fact, he feels the situation is very similar to his and McGregor’s.
“Me beating him would like to be legendary right so exactly a lot of boxers don’t do this this is why Canelo’s not fighting Benavidez. Why why would Canelo fight Benavidez who’s relatively unknown and Benavides beats him and Benavidez becomes overnight a superstar that’s Canelo’s letting Benavidez make a name off of,” Paul stated.
