A year ago, nobody would have imagined that Jake Paul would trace such a decorated pathway in the sport. But, in just a short span of time, the YouTuber turned boxer rose, established himself, and became a massive name in boxing. He did so with just four fights under his belt.

Despite his success in the ring, he has remained relevant outside the sport as well. Hence, he has received even more attention.

While on one side, there are fighters who don’t really get along with Paul’s activities in the sport, many other hotshots appreciate ‘The Problem Child’ for everything he does in boxing.

Recently, Paul spoke about fighters who have supported him, while he was in a chat with Bleacher Report. He said, “I’m the best thing that’s happened to boxing in a century. The legends agree. Anthony Joshua, Mike Tyson, Tyson Fury – they’ve all said what I’m doing is a breath of fresh air. I don’t think there’s anybody who thinks I’m bad for boxing.”  (h/t Michael Benson)

Prior to coming to boxing, Jake Paul had a stellar YouTube career with millions of subscribers. That said, Paul took a bold step by lacing up the boxing gloves. Eventually, this risk turned out to be better than expected because a lot of fans followed him across all of his boxing bouts. Also, ‘The Problem Child’ gained more fans/attention from the combat sports world.

Which rival is Jake Paul facing next?

Jake Paul likes settling the scores with his opponents inside the ring. After being accused of facing non-fighters, he outclassed Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren in his previous two outings. Now, he’s all set to face arch-rival, Tommy Fury.

A fight between these two will come to life on December 18. Both these young stalwarts are undefeated, and also, the Brit will be the first pro-boxing opponent for Paul.

This fight has immense buzz for obvious reasons and it will be interesting to see who among the two comes out on top.
