Did Jake Paul's team set him up for failure with that 'low-budget' pigeon gift to Tyson?

On November 15, Jake Paul entered the AT&T Arena on a customized Chevy C3500 dually to fight against the legendary Mike TysonHowever, the thing that stole the attention of the fans was a pigeon sitting behind The Problem Child in a cage. Fans started to wonder about the reason behind the pigeon and finally, they got the answer.

During the buildup to this highly controversial yet historic fight, Tyson and Paul came in front of each other for a face-to-face sitdown. That is when Paul gifted the 58-year-old a white pigeon because of the latter’s interest in collecting pigeons, claiming it to be worth thousands of dollars and specifically imported for him from Southeast Asia. However, the former heavyweight champion rejected the pigeon after a close inspection, stating that it was a “low budget pedigree.” Jake Paul, of course, was taken aback by the refusal of his gift. It looks like Mike Tyson was right, as after the fight, Jake Paul revealed the correct price of the pigeon stating that he got betrayed by his own team.

After the fight, Jake Paul sat down with his brother, Logan Paul, for an interview on his YouTube podcast ‘IMPAULSIVE.’ The pair talked about various things, including the pigeon, which he even named ‘Richard.’ Coincidentally, Logan Paul was also beside El Gallo during the entrance, so he had already met Richard.

Jake Paul stated that his team lied to him and told him that they got the pigeon from Southeast Asia. “My team lied to me and said they got a $3,000 pigeon from Southeast Asia,” stated The Problem Child. However, the 27-year-old still doesn’t know the reason why his team lied to him, because “it’s literally fu***ng stupid.”

Jake Paul then revealed the price of the pigeon and claimed it to be worth about $5: “He’s like a $5 pigeon.” However, the 11-1 boxer made it clear that for him the price does not matter and for him, now Richard is “worth so much more than that and you are the best pigeon in the world, buddy.”

Jake Paul also claimed that 250 million people in the world know about this pigeon because of the event and “he walked out with us and now he’s the most famous pigeon in the world.” It looks like Paul has taken a liking to his new feathered friend. And truthfully, Richard has to thank The Problem Child, because without him Mike Tyson would have fed him to his falcon.

However, he did not love the pigeon that Jake Paul got him. “This is a pigeon from Southeast Asia, very expensive, but I wanted you to have this,” said Paul with a big smile on his face. The smile was wiped off quickly as Tyson labeled the pigeon as “low-budget.” The Baddest Man On The Planet further stated, “No one loves him. He has no bands or anything. So, he doesn’t belong to nobody,” rejecting the gift.

As the former YouTuber insisted Tyson keep the gift, the latter replied, “I’ll feed him to my falcon.” Jake Paul was shocked. Tyson later added he was only joking and could not take the pigeon home with him. So, Jake Paul took home the bird for himself. MVP later posted a video on their Instagram showing a gloomy Paul walking away while holding onto the pigeon’s cage.
