Jake Paul might have bitten off more than he can chew—at least, that’s what his fans are saying after a clip of him and former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson surfaced on social media. ‘The Problem Child’ will square off against ‘Iron’ Mike on November 15th at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
With just days remaining until the fight, Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, which is promoting the Netflix-exclusive event, shared a recent clip from a photo shoot featuring Paul and Tyson. Alongside the video, the boxing promotion posed a question to their followers, which seems to have started everything.

Earlier today, MVP took to X to ask, “Who’s got the stronger back: Jake Paul or Mike Tyson?” The post accompanied a clip of Paul and Tyson from a recent photo shoot, where the two posed with their backs to the camera. While Paul struck a flexed stance, curling his hands to show off his muscles, Tyson simply stood still, exuding an intimidating presence.

Despite not flexing, Mike Tyson’s back appeared impressively ripped, each muscle defined, underscoring the difference in physical strength between the two fighters—even with Tyson being 31 years Jake Paul’s senior. Fans quickly noticed the striking contrast in muscle mass and began questioning Paul’s chances of victory.
Jake Paul branded stronger because of his age
What’s your perspective on:
Is age just a number when Mike Tyson's muscles speak louder than Jake Paul's youth?
Have an interesting take?
There have been concerns about Tyson’s ability to fight at his age, but this post seems to change some opinions. Like this user, who claimed to be a Paul fan, but seems to have been swayed by Tyson’s physique. “I am a Jake Paul fan but Mike Tyson 😂😂,” the user wrote. It’s undeniable that despite Tyson’s age, he is in pretty good shape.
Another user branded ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ an absolute ‘beast.’ “Mike ‘Iron’ Tyson The Beast 🔥🔥🔥,” the user commented. Interestingly, there’s a book titled Taming the Beast: The Untold Story of Mike Tyson by Eric Wilson and Rory Holloway. This biography dives into Tyson’s complex life and career, offering insights into the challenges and controversies that shaped him, as well as his relationships and personal struggles.

Someone else noticed something intriguing about the video, commenting, “Mike not even flexing 😂.” But when you’re training like Mike Tyson, there’s no need to flex—your muscles do the talking. In a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Tyson shared just how intense his routine is: “I am training extremely hard, I do six hours a day. I start at 11 a.m. and might leave the gym at 5 p.m.”
Meanwhile, this user acknowledged Tyson had more muscles, but still sided with Jake Paul. “Mike [has] more muscle but Jake [is] stronger as he’s younger,” the user wrote. Paul’s age will indeed play a pivotal role in the upcoming fight, with many put off because of the age difference.

The next user highlighted the absurdity in the comparison. “They are comparing a 27-year-old guy to a 60-year-old man,” the user wrote. Despite the age difference, Tyson has backing from the likes of Lennox Lewis and Roy Jones Jr.—both men Tyson has fought before.
With fight night fast approaching, it seems Mike Tyson is winning over a good number of Paul’s supporters. Still, the question remains: can he actually pull off what he’s aiming to do? What’s your take on the clip? Who do you think has the stronger back?
