In the lead-up to his fight against Mike Tyson, Jake Paul pulled out all the stops to hype his showdown, trying every promotional trick in the book. From gifting Iron Mike a pigeon to stepping on the legend’s toe, just to get slapped, he was relentless. However, none of it compared to when The Problem Child clapped back at Tyson’s “fat” jab by slipping into a fat suit.
The stunt unfolded after Iron Mike took a verbal swing, calling the YouTuber-turned-boxer out of shape at their press conference in New York. As expected, Jake Paul fired back, in his own way. Rather than taking offense, Paul flipped the script, turning the insult into content gold. Those videos of El Gallo with a fake belly, lifting fake weights, and visiting a drive-thru, soon took over the internet, paving the way for their clash to become one of boxing’s most colossal events. Now, nearly five months later, Jake Paul can look at his masterpiece with pride. And he did as he sat down with his brother Logan Paul, discussing how his fake belly helped the fight.

Jake Paul’s genius marketing move
In a recent video by Max to promote their new reality TV show ‘Paul Americans,’ Jake and Logan Paul sat down together to react to their most viral moments. As expected, the segment included their fat suit video by both brothers. Jake Paul immediately remarked, “People love the fat suit,” as the elder Paul echoed his opinion.

The Maverick accepted that he too jumped on the trend after seeing how well it worked for his brother. With a huge smile on his face, Jake Paul immediately stated, “That’s nuts bro. I am just always coming up with ideas for content. We were just like, “Let’s be fat.” Fat boxer Jake and it was a hit. That one got like 300 million views.” This shocked his older brother. “That’s crazy,” exclaimed Logan Paul.
The 27-year-old believes that the video played a key role in amplifying the fight’s buzz. Indeed the clip helped in generating buzz for the fight. Fans were desperate to see Jake Paul getting knocked out for insulting the legend and switched on the fight in that hope. Though that didn’t happen, the outcome couldn’t have been sweeter for Jake.

The another payday threatened again
After Mike Tyson, El Gallo was targeting a historic fight against Canelo Alvarez. However, that fell apart when Cinnamon signed a four-fight deal with Saudis, leaving Paul to look at alternatives. It looked like he had finally found one. However, rumors have now emerged of his long-time rival, KSI snapping it away.

Last month, KSI backed out of a planned showdown with controversial MMA star Dillon Danis, citing a sudden illness. However, controversial Kick streamer Sneako yesterday revealed that the Sidemen member pulled out against Danis to make a fight against controversial influencer Andrew Tate—a fight that Jake Paul must have been sad to see go.
“Tate’s gonna fight KSI. I think that’s why KSI pulled out of the Dillon Danis fight,” Sneako said. If KSI vs, Tate ends up happening, Paul will lose another opponent. However, since he wishes to fight actual tough boxers, it may present the 28-year-old with an opportunity to fight a real boxer. Will he take it? Only time will tell.
