With God behind him, Jake Paul is confident and ready to step into the biggest challenge of his career. He will face Mike Tyson on November 15th at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in front of at least 80,000 fans. Ahead of the fight, Most Valuable Promotions scheduled a public workout for every fighter involved in the upcoming Netflix event.
The main highlights of the show were undoubtedly Paul and Tyson. While the former heavyweight champion showed everyone a ferocious workout, El Gallo was not far behind. The 27-year-old showed his skills and after the event, promised his nervous mother a knockout that will etch his name into the annals of boxing history.

Paul’s parents, Gregory Allan Paul, and Pam Stepnick, attended the public workout to watch their son in action. After the workout, Sibley Scoles walked up to the Puerto Rican resident for the interview. Before she could ask any question, Paul shyly waved towards his mom and shouted “Hi Mom,” with a huge smile on his face.

The camera pointed toward Stepnick who was enjoying the night ringside as Scoles asked her whether she was excited for the fight. Looking a bit jittery, Stepnick yelled out, “I am very excited.” Jake Paul added that his mother was very nervous about the upcoming fight. He stated, “And nervous. She doesn’t like watching Mike Tyson throw punches because she’s a little bit scared,” acknowledging how his mother is scared of the legendary boxer and his vicious punches.
He then proceeded to let his mother know that she had nothing to worry about as God stood behind him: “Mom, I promise you, I was built for this, destined for this. The God’s got me. The universe has got me.” El Gallo then promised her mother a knockout victory. He then confidently declared, “Jake Joseph Paul will knock out Mike Tyson, Friday, November 15.”

This is not the first time that Pam Stepnick has talked about her fear of Mike Tyson. In an interview with Bloody Elbow, Paul’s mother stated that “seeing Mike Tyson in person is terrifying.” She accepted that “this is the most frightened I’ve been going into one of Jake’s fights,” but will support his son regardless.
While she refrained from making any sort of prediction, she just wanted her son to win and be safe. This declaration and promise might have relieved Stepnick a bit. But it looks like even Jake Paul is not completely confident of his victory as he sat down with his brother Logan Paul for a lie detector test.

El Gallo does not believe in himself
A few days ago, Most Valuable Promotions shared an old video where The Problem Child joined his brother Logan Paul for a lie detector test. He then proceeded to ask the former WWE US Champion, “Do you believe that I will actually beat Mike Tyson?” While The Maverick replied with a “Yes” the lie detector revealed it to be a lie.
The Elder brother then asked El Gallo to be strapped up and started asking some thoughtful questions. It revealed that Jake Paul does not believe that the age difference will be a factor in the fight, as the former heavyweight champion “is a killer at any age.” But things turned awkward when Logan Paul asked the 10-1 boxer whether he had enough faith in himself to beat the legendary boxer. While El Gallo replied with a confident “Yes” the lights turned red, revealing it to be a lie.
