Jake Paul seems to have found a solution for his postponed fight problem, as the internet has come alive with his next fight update. According to several sources, ‘The Problem Child’ will now face Bare Knuckle champion Mike Perry on July 20. The update comes after Paul’s much talked about bout against Mike Tyson was postponed to November 15 later this year. Why?

Well, the former undisputed heavyweight champion suffered an ulcer flare-up on a Miami to Los Angeles bound flight earlier this month, which ended up pushing his Netflix-exclusive fight at AT&T Stadium back. However, this left him with the issue of the undercard fight, which cannot be postponed. Fortunately, the fight against Mike Perry seems to have resolved this problem. As the community is absorbing this development, Paul has finally broken his silence on the matter on social media.

Earlier today, Happy Punch wrote, “BREAKING: Jake Paul vs Mike Perry set for July 20th, per sources close to Paul’s camp”. Boxing Kingdom later confirmed the news as well, mentioning, “Jake was in a difficult position with the $10M undercard. He had to move fast, as those fighters wouldn’t be able to wait for a Mike Tyson bout”.

It’s also worth mentioning that initially, the Amanda Serrano vs. Kaite Taylor fight was also postponed to November later this year alongside Tyson vs. Paul. However, it’s unclear whether the Serrano fight will coincide with Paul’s bout against Mike Perry, or if the Mike Perry fight will happen at all.

After the news of the Mike Perry fight came out in the open, it cast shadows of doubt over whether the Tyson fight would happen. To clear off all doubts Jake Paul hopped on X to write, “I AM FIGHTING MIKE TYSON ON NETFLIX AND I WILL GET THE W”.

Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions haven’t released a statement about the rumored fight quite yet. But when they do, things are likely to be much clearer. Meanwhile, one of Mike Tyson’s close friends has sent a threatening message to Jake Paul about the former world champion.

Is Mike Tyson in better shape than his last few years as a pro?

Jeff Fenech had trained Mike Tyson for the last couple of fights of his career in the mid-2000s. Unfortunately, Tyson’s career came to an unceremonious end after suffering a loss against Kevin McBride in 2005. However, 19 odd years later, as Tyson is preparing for the fight against Paul, Fenech claims Tyson is looking better than back then. According to a report from Mirror Fighting, Fenech revealed if it were up to him, he wouldn’t let Tyson fight to begin with, but since he trained Tyson before, Fenech said, “He seems more switched on now than he did then”.

Tyson’s last appearance in the ring was against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, which many claim Tyson won, even though the fight was declared a draw. Despite the rumors about Jake Paul facing Mike Perry next, ‘The Problem Child’ is adamant he will face Mike Tyson and defeat the boxing legend. However, only time will tell what’s next in the cards for Paul. What do you think? Will Paul fight Perry?
