Wildly successful Disney and YouTube star, Jake Paul, is now one of the most talked-about athletes in the boxing world. While he has not yet fought any big names in boxing, his growth in the sport has been meteoric because of his ability to bring fresh eyes to the sport. His rapid and explosive escalation has irked a lot of fighters and some have even voiced their displeasure over Paul’s antics.
However, boxing legends like ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, ‘The People’s Champ’ Manny Pacquiao, and even actor Sylvester Stallone have openly shared their support for Jake Paul and have endorsed him for some changes that he has brought about in boxing.

They believe he is helping with his ability to gather mass traction and popularize boxing as a sport. When asked about his thoughts on those who support him in the boxing community, Paul acknowledged his respect for Pacquiao, Tyson, and Stallone and took shots at “jealous” boxers.
“Yeah, it means the world. I think the real ones see what we’re doing and respect it. I think the jealous ones are the ones that talk s**t about it. But there’s a lot of positivity out there- Manny Pacquiao, Mike Tyson, some of the greatest ever, Sylvester Stallone supporting what we have going on.
“And it’s the jealous fighters who are envious of what we’re doing here, that are the trash talkers but they will soon be diminished, put out and left on the side of the road,” said Paul.
Jake Paul wants to change his boxing narrative

Many professional athletes like Canelo Alvarez have protested against Paul’s rise in the sport; this comes because of his advantage of a larger social media following, fame, and ability to spend bigger bucks over other pro boxing debutants.
However, Jake Paul recently shared that he now plans on fighting Mexican champion Canelo Alvarez down the line. He even dug into Alvarez on Twitter by implying that he can generate big PPV numbers and that he would be an easy opponent for Paul. The 24-year-old clearly wants to change his narrative in the boxing world by fighting tougher opponents along the way.

Considering the YouTube star’s previous opponents, Tyron ‘The Chosen One’ Woodley will undoubtedly be Paul’s toughest opponent yet. The two are all set to face each other in the ring at Rocket Mortgage Field House in Cleveland, Ohio on August 30. Unlike his former opponents, Tyron Woodley is a legitimate fighter and is infamous for his knockout finishes in the UFC octagon.
Despite being a five-time former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley is not taking this fight lightly. He is coming off a 4-fight losing streak in the UFC and this fight with the 24-year-old YouTube star could be the inflection point in the streak. However, Jake Paul is not an easy opponent and Woodley plans on giving it his all to secure that shot at redemption.
This is a critical bout for both fighters as a loss for either could be detrimental to the progress that they have made so far. While Jake Paul has big plans to fight the likes of Conor McGregor and Canelo Alvarez down the line, Tyron Woodley aims at setting camp and growing further in this sport. How do you think Paul-Woodley plays out?
