Ahead of his bout against former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, Paul came out and requested the help of ‘The Notorious.’ In a short video, the Youtuber turned boxer urged McGregor to join his fighters union along with Silva. He asked the former champ to stop being selfish like he had throughout his life and that this would be a strong statement for him to join hands.

“Conor, I have a message for you. Join me and Anderson in helping these fighters. We need all the help we can get. You’ve been pretty selfish. At this point in your whole entire career, what have you done for a lot of fighters? This would be a powerful statement for you to join.” said Paul
Moreover, he told McGregor to ‘stop running’ as they needed his help to form the union. “So stop it, stop running, stop hiding, stop being selfish. We need all the help we can get in making this union. Conor McGregor that’s the message, join me and Anderson Silva. It needs to be done.” He added.

Although the two have had their differences in the past, it looks like Paul is willing to push them aside to achieve this union. The Ohio-based boxer has long been an advocate for fighter pay, and this might be one of the next steps he plans to take to improve fighter pay in combat sports.

Jake Paul makes a bet with Anderson Silva
Paul recently made somewhat of an unusual bet with Silva. The Problem Child revealed that he would face The Spider in a kickboxing match if the latter wins their boxing match. However, if Paul managed to win, Silva would have to join Paul’s association for UFC fighters to get better pay and healthcare.

“If you win, I will fight you in an MMA fight, OK, kickboxing. But if I win, me and you come together to create a united fighters’ association to help UFC fighters get better pay and better healthcare.” said Paul to which Silva replied “Deal”. The two now have higher stakes to fight, as we will get to see who emerges victorious on October 29th.
