Youtuber turned boxer Jake Paul has become an integral part of the boxing world. He started boxing in 2018, and now he aims to become a boxing champion. Paul has called out some of the biggest names from combat sports for a potential fight. However, there’s one fighter that Paul refrains from fighting inside the ring.

UFC fighter Sam Alvey has sparred with Jake Paul in the near past. However, Alvey was in conversation with mmafighting.com, and he revealed, “Logan? I actually almost broke his jaw in the sparring session.”

He further added, ”I was doing the best I could to just carry him and be a training partner for him, throwing some [punches], and he just kept getting hit. At one point, he kind of fell back. I was supposed to spar his brother, too, Jake. Jake wouldn’t do it afterwards. I said, ‘Jake, I’ll take it easy, I’ll give you whatever work you want,’ but Jake wouldn’t spar me that day. And I was never invited back.”

‘The Problem Child’ was supposed to go up against British fighter Tommy Fury on August 6th. However, Fury pulled out from the fight and Hasim Rahman Jr. came as a replacement. But even that fight got canceled. Following that, Jake Paul was looking for opponents for a potential fight. Numerous names came up as Paul’s next opponent, but it then boiled down to UFC legend Anderson Silva being his opponent.

The Brazilian fighter got his boxing license from Arizona, which convinced fans that he did it to fight Paul. Recently, the official date for the fight got confirmed, and the two will square off inside the ring on October 29th.

Although Paul has an age advantage against the 47-year-old fighter, but the latter’s experience and fighting prowess might become a problem for Paul. The Youtuber is often criticised for not fighting a “real fighter”, and fighting Silva might change fans’ perspective about Paul. But only time will tell how this bout plays out.
