On December 14, Jaime Munguia is going to enter his fourth fight of 2024, his most active year since 2018. Previously scheduled to face Ronald Gavril, the Mexican boxer will now face undefeated Frenchman Bruno Surace at the Estadio Caliente in Tijuana. This will be the first time that Suarce is fighting outside his native land.
2024 has been one of the best years for Jaime Munguia. He has won two out of his three fights and his only loss came against Canelo Alvarez. He bounced back from that defeat pretty well with a shutout victory against Erik Bazinyan in the 10th round and now would like to finish the year strongly.

For his fight against D’Mitrius Ballard, Munguia walked to the ring on the song ‘El Ausente’ by Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga. It was another nod to his cultural heritage as he put on one of the most dominating performances of his life. Knocking out Ballard in just 3 rounds.
Jaime Munguia has a sensational record of 44 wins and his only professional loss came against Canelo Alvarez this year. For his first fight of 2024, he faced John Ryder and walked out to Alejandro Fernández enchanting, “México Lindo y Querido.”The traditional mariachi and ranchera song once again took center stage, something which the fans could not see for the final time.
The John Ryder fight was followed by Munguia’s biggest challenge as he set his eyes on the unified super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez. The world watched in silence as two of the biggest Mexican greats took on each other at the legendary T-Mobile Arena. While Canelo walked out alongside Luis R. Conriquez, Jaime Munguia chose a Mexican pop band, Reik as they sang their famous song, ‘México Lindo y Querido’ to accompany him to the ring.
