John Fury is a father of 4 and it just so happens that 3 of his 4 children are professional boxers. His oldest son, Tyson Fury is the current Heavyweight champion and one of the greatest Heavyweight fighters of all time. Recently, his son, Roman Fury had his second professional boxing bout in which he emerged victorious. Roman Fury is the younger brother of Tyson Fury and is 26 years of age.

He has a record of 2 victories and no defeats and his last fight was this past Saturday against Erik Nazaryan. Post the victory, his father jokingly credited his victory to his “DNA,” as a reference to giving birth to multiple professional boxers.

John Fury credits Roman Fury’s victory to his DNA

John Fury was a professional boxer himself. He fought 13 times and his record stands at 13 victories with 4 defeats and one draw. His career was not significant but he certainly gave birth to one of the greatest fighters in recent times, Tyson Fury. Not to mention, his youngest son, Tommy Fury, is also climbing up the ranks and endeavors to become a champion himself.

Evidently, John Fury has given birth to some athletic kids. Reflecting on the same, he credited Roman Fury’s recent win to his genes and jokingly stated, “This kid can go all the way up. I do believe, these n*ts of mine, I am telling ya it is an incredible thing. I’ve got the best pair of b****ks in whole of the UK. I am telling you now. The DNA is there.”

While, Fury jokingly gave himself credit, his son on other hand has nothing but respect for his father and regards him highly as a trainer.

Roman Fury has deep reverence for his father

John Fury happens to be the trainer of Roman and Tommy Fury. Roman Fury is of the opinion that his father is underestimated as a trainer. Reflecting on the same, in an interview, he stated, “My dad is very underestimated as a trainer, you know he has been around boxing gym all his life all his whole life.” He adds, “He got his own training regime now. He is very knowledgeable. He focuses on training a lot on his mind as-well.”
