The legendary British super-middleweight fighter, Chris Eubank Sr, became emotional while talking about his son, Chris Eubank Jr, in an interview with Stamina for Sale. Exposing the reality of his son, the 56-year-old said he didn’t listened to him or took any suggestions when it came to the sport of professional boxing.

“I believe in him but he doesn’t believe in me and sadly, you know it comes to the point, where you know when you no longer care. Let go.. You can always say yeah fine you know I’ve done nothing I’ve done nothing but a gift yes… This young man, a career, a name, a face,” Eubank Sr said.

Earlier, the former two-weight division champ had revealed that he didn’t wanted his son to participate in this fight three months back. But since his son still insisted, it was going to happen anyway.

According to him, his son chose the wrong idol. Instead of taking inspiration from Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali, he made Floyd Mayweather his idol. Though he believed that Mayweather is one of the best fighters, he did not consider him a good man as the latter always shows off money, clubs, girls, and planes. This has a bad impact on budding boxers.

Why did the fight between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn got canceled?

Eubank Jr and Conor Benn were most likely to go head-to-head, the last weekend at the O2 Arena. The fight was in buzz because both the fighters were going to settle the business that began with fathers Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn, the former British rivals.

Unfortunately, the VADA’s report put the highly anticipated fight in jeopardy. Benn, who cleared UK’s anti-doping test, failed to meet VADA’s rules and was found guilty of consuming Clomifene.

As a result, the British Boxing did not allow this fight to take place.
