Boxing is a sport known for its heart-pumping action, but sometimes it’s the personal stories that resonate the most with fans.In such a brutal sport where fighters put their lives on the line, the mental stress of it can often break people. However, Canadian boxer Cody Crowley has never been one to succumb to this stress as he delivered an impressive showing against Abel Ramos in their recent fight.

Crowley beat Ramos via majority decision to secure his 22nd victory in his career. The undefeated boxer competed almost after a year after his last fight, which took place back in April 2022. However, this was understandable given that his father took his own life just nine months ago. Naturally, this victory was an emotional one for the Canadian boxer as he had to embrace it without his father. In addition, he even opened up about how his father’s suicide had mentally affected him coming into the match.

But my dad did. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here today. Anyone who’s thinking about taking their own life, who doesn’t wanna be here, I am proof that you can keep fighting and you will win.
