Following his latest win over Sandor Martin, Teofimo Lopez questioned one of his team members if he still got it. Lopez, who managed an SD win against Martin on December 10 at MSG, pondered over his boxing abilities. ‘The Takeover’, who had two arthroscopic surgeries this year prior to facing Campa and Martin, just had his 19th professional appearance in the ring.

After Lopez questioned his team members regarding his abilities, Amanda Serrano took to Twitter and gave her opinion about it. In Serrano’s opinion, if a boxer was questioning him/herself then it was time for them to go. “I know your team will always believe in u but I’m sorry YOU have to believe in yourself even more,” stated a stern Serrano.

Amanda Serrano reminds Teofimo Lopez to believe in himself
Martin wasn’t the opponent Lopez went the distance with for the first time. In fact, Lopez had already experienced the distance of 12 rounds with Masayoshi Nakatani and Vasily Lomachenko. The loss against Kambosos Jr., two back-to-back surgeries, and an underwhelming performance against Martin may have rattled Teofimo. However, Serrano feels Lopez needs to believe in himself and let go of doubts.

In MY opinion if u have to Question yourself it’s time to go!

“In MY opinion if u have to Question yourself it’s time to go!” said Serrano. With this win over Martin, Lopez now stands 18-1-0. He is only 25 and definitely, years of boxing are still left in ‘The Takeover’ who once surprised the world by defeating highly-skilled Lomachenko.

Following his last fight, Lopez expressed his sincere eagerness to know how he performed in the ring. The conversation between Lopez and his teammate was caught on the mic. “Bro, do I still have it, man? Do I still got it?,” asked Teofimo.
Later, Lopez attempted an analysis of his last fight. According to him, it was hard fighting a boxer who ran the ring the whole time. “Every time this guy committed, I countered and got him every time. He just ran the whole time,” added Teofimo.
