‘It’s Really Life Decisions to Made Before That Contract Signings’: Fallen Champ’s Injury Recovery Update Goes Viral on the Internet

After being brutally hit in the eye by Errol Spence, Yordenis Ugas has filled his fans with joy and enthusiasm with his latest post on Twitter. In the post, Ugas posed smiling with the doctor post his eye surgery during a follow-up. His smile was telling everything, all is fine and the champ is ready to take on new challenges soon.

The former WBA titleholder was seen out of the ring for a few days for obvious reasons. But his recent updates are a clear indication that Ugas might be seen fighting very soon.

How did it all happen?

On 16th April 2022, Ugas fought with Spence Jr. and lost that bout after a severe hit from Spence. His eyes were swollen like a ball at that time and rushed to a nearby hospital in Texas that night.

It was a welterweight unification bout between WBC and IBF. With sheer dominance, however, Errol Spence Jr. won the bout with TKO and won the title. Ugas’s eyes were severely swollen and from that time Ugas aka ‘54 Milagros’ was out of the ring.

Fans sent their good wishes to Yordenis Ugas

After the photo was posted by Ugas, fans around the World flooded the  champion with well wishes and blessings. Some fans also hoped for the return of Ugas soon while others wished for a speedy recovery.

One fan named Mangfather Bob Katz has praised Ugas’s professionalism and he wrote, “Sending you my thoughts & prayers for a full recovery. Please take care of yourself & maybe think about retiring from boxing at this point. U have had an amazing career & have always handled your business with class & professionalism. You will be success in whatever you do next.”

WritingYogi commented, “I’ve been there, champ! Glad you are over the hard part. Best of luck for continued success in your boxing career.”

One fan named AlexAC131 commented in Spanish also applauded his doctor. He wrote, “Enhorabuena paisano gracias a Oloddumare, Oloffi, Orunmila y tu ángel de la guarda.” If translated into English, it means, “ Congratulations countryman thanks to Oloddumare, Oloffi, Orunmila and your guardian angel.

One has commented and called Ugas “True good guy”, “We all rooting for you champ. One of boxings few true good guys.”

Bullet Head commented a golden line and he wrote, “Man it’s really life decisions to made before that contract signings. I don’t blame Terrence Crawford”

One fan from the champion’s own country wrote in Cuban, “Abrazo desde cuba campeón” which means “Hug from Cuba champion”.

There are many instances of severe injury in combat sports, including boxing. But a true champion is someone who stands up after all odds and fights again. And Yordenis Ugas is surely one of them. We want to see the champ back in the ring soon and maybe his next fight with Terence Crawford.
