After being brutally hit in the eye by Errol Spence, Yordenis Ugas has filled his fans with joy and enthusiasm with his latest post on Twitter. In the post, Ugas posed smiling with the doctor post his eye surgery during a follow-up. His smile was telling everything, all is fine and the champ is ready to take on new challenges soon.
The former WBA titleholder was seen out of the ring for a few days for obvious reasons. But his recent updates are a clear indication that Ugas might be seen fighting very soon.

How did it all happen?
On 16th April 2022, Ugas fought with Spence Jr. and lost that bout after a severe hit from Spence. His eyes were swollen like a ball at that time and rushed to a nearby hospital in Texas that night.

It was a welterweight unification bout between WBC and IBF. With sheer dominance, however, Errol Spence Jr. won the bout with TKO and won the title. Ugas’s eyes were severely swollen and from that time Ugas aka ‘54 Milagros’ was out of the ring.

After the photo was posted by Ugas, fans around the World flooded the champion with well wishes and blessings. Some fans also hoped for the return of Ugas soon while others wished for a speedy recovery.

There are many instances of severe injury in combat sports, including boxing. But a true champion is someone who stands up after all odds and fights again. And Yordenis Ugas is surely one of them. We want to see the champ back in the ring soon and maybe his next fight with Terence Crawford.
