Recently, in an interview with talkSPORT, Anthony Joshua talked about the failure of negotiations between Usyk and Fury. And he further discussed why he thinks his potential matchup with Fury will be difficult after the collapse of the heavyweight undisputed title fight.
‘AJ’ and Fury have tried to finalize a matchup twice in the last three years. And it is reported that the duo will try again this year. Joshua is not very hopeful as well this time. He said, “I tell you what, if he is doing a 70/30 split for an undisputed heavyweight world title fight to an already undisputed cruiserweight and unified heavyweight champion, imagine what he is going to try to offer me.” He added, “It’s just a nightmare.” One has to agree that Joshua has a strong point in his statement.

Even though the last two tries failed, the fans would like to see a clash between these British boxers. Joshua is scheduled to return to the ring this year against Jermaine Franklin on April 1. Notably, he lost his unified Heavyweight title to Usyk in 2021. Conversely, ‘The Gypsy King’ is expected to fight this year, but his opponent is yet to be revealed.

The 33-year-old Anthony Joshua is ready to fight Fury. But, he is indifferent to whether the fight happens or not. Recently, in an interview, Joshua talked about fighting Fury.
