Crawford says he doesn’t let his ego make decisions for him. Regarding Gervonta Davis’ claim of moving up to 147 and defeating him, Crawford recognizes Davis’ confidence. However, he feels boxing has different levels. He’s willing to fight Davis but wonders if people would value his win over a lighter opponent.

In the interview, he said, “He’s got the confidence in himself that he believes he can do that because he’s been knocking all these fighters out that he’s been in the ring with. So, no knock to Tank, but there’s definitely levels. And if he comes up to 147 thinking he’s just gonna knock Terence Crawford out, he’s got another thing coming.”

Further, he also discussed the monetary implications of this fight saying he’ll fight him as it’s quite lucrative for him. Bud added saying, “So, that’s the fight you would make happen if he wanted to come up to 147? Yeah, I’ll stay at 147 for him. That’s a big money fight, it’s a big fight, yeah, it’s a big money fight.”

Additionally, Bud has also talked about another fight that will mark his legacy in boxing. So, which fight is it?

He wants to fight Jermell Charlo to seal this legacy. Additionally, Crawford doesn’t like Charlo’s recent comments about him. And although he thinks Charlo just wants attention, Crawford still wants the fight. Bud said, I don’t like Jermell, for the simple fact that I think he is a fake individual. I feel like Errol is real, he’s genuine, he stands ten toes on everything that he says and does, Jermell is one of those guys that does a lot for attention. I was cool with Jermell and Jermall, and their older brother, prior to me moving up in weight.” He might fight Errol Spence Jr. again first. Charlo also plans to fight Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
