The time is here! Canelo Alvarez and Jermell Charlo are only moments away from stepping inside the ring with the Super Middleweight title on the line. With two Undisputed champions ready to lock horns, the boxing world expects nothing less than excellence. While Charlo promises to make an exhibition of praiseworthy boxing, Alvarez looks forward to displaying “something different“.
Ahead of Canelo Alvarez and Jermell Charlo’s demonstration inside the T-Mobile Arena, artist Drake took the boxing world by storm with his latest training video. While none was prepared, the “Hotline Bling” hitmaker revealed how he was hitting the mitts. However, the fans remained by and large unimpressed despite the efforts of Drake and his trainer.

Ahead of Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo, beginner-level skills of Drake get ridiculed
In the video, Drake is seen maintaining an orthodox stance while his low hands fail to protect his chin. Besides getting easily tired, he restricts himself to jabs and straight hands. With very little waist movement and disappointing footwork, he is neither able to throw a cross nor round punches. In addition, the 5-time Grammy winner does not tuck his chin. As a result, a fan who watched the brief clip more than five times, said, “It’s actually bad. This is maybe 1-2 weeks of training at best.” In addition, they noticed how Drake avoided hooks and uppercuts. In their opinion, Drake would have displayed head movements, had he been training for months. “This is beginner stuff,” they concluded.
Watched 5+ times. It's actually bad. This is maybe 1-2 weeks of training at best. Notice zero hooks or uppercuts? Also trainer not really throwing at him. If he was training for months or more advanced he'd have to duck a lot more or side head move. This is beginner stuff.

However, one fan sarcastically stated that Drake and his trainer “worked on that routine for months“.
Looks like they worked on that routine for months. 😂

On the other hand, one thought while Drake’s skills were “better than expected,” they were certainly not “impressive“.

Meanwhile, one emphasized how the Canadian rapper failed to protect his chin. However, they lauded his speed.

Finally, while one could not find Drake’s boxing skills impressive, they claimed he was no longer a beginner. Likewise, they encouraged Drake who lost $1 Million over Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz.
Hard to say "impressive" but he is definitely not a beginner anymore. Cheers !
