In only a matter of a week, Gervonta Davis will return to pro boxing with his fight against Hector Luis Garcia on January 7, 2023. Davis, who recently was arrested following charges of domestic violence by the mother of his child, uploaded a brief promo clip after his release. While the mother of Davis’ child, in an extensive Instagram post declared Davis’ innocence and faith in their “co-parenting dynamic”, Davis reminded that it was time for boxing.

It has been over seven months since ‘Tank’ performed his last in boxing. As soon as he uploaded the clip, several users awaiting Davis’ next fight spontaneously reacted to it.

While Luis Garcia, 31, will fight the 17th pro fight of his life, Davis, 28, will make the 28th pro appearance in the ring. The last eleven fights were title fights in the so-far-illustrious career of Davis. Hopefully, his performance on January 7 will remain devoid of the restlessness he recently suffered outside the boxing ring.
