Frank Stallone, Sylvester’s brother, made a bold prediction again. Last time, he was all in on Tyson’s victory. His view hasn’t changed. The Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight is set for July 20. It will light up AT&T Stadium in Texas. But, is this bout more show than sport? Stallone questions its legitimacy.

If it’s a real fight, he says, Jake is going to sleep. His criteria? Ten-ounce gloves, no headgear, three-minute rounds. Without these, it’s just a sparring match, he argues. Can Tyson’s experience overpower Paul’s youth under true boxing conditions? Stallone thinks so. The countdown to July 20 begins.

Anything but a sanctioned fight is a joke!

Frank Stallone’s stance on the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight remains unwavering and clear. Great feedback from a week ago when I talked about the Mike Tyson Jake Paul fight. Again let me reiterate it’s either a sanction fight or it’s not a sanction fight. If you’re wearing 16 ounce gloves and there are two-minute rounds, that’s not a fight,” he declared, setting a firm benchmark for what constitutes a legitimate bout.

According to Stallone, such conditions reduce the event to a mere “sparring session, it’s a joke.” He further emphasized the essence of a sanctioned fight, insisting on “10 ounce gloves and all the things that go, no headgear, three-minute rounds.” In his view, these elements elevate a match from an exhibition to a serious contest.

Stallone didn’t mince words about Jake Paul’s boxing credentials, labeling him “basically a ranked amateur.” He referenced Paul’s bout against Tommy Fury, where Paul faced his first professional boxing defeat. “He fought one fighter, Tommy Fury, and he got beat by a guy that’s an in-and-out of boxing, not a great boxer,” Stallone pointed out, underscoring Paul’s lack of experience against seasoned fighters.

A fight that puts skills to the test

Moreover, Stallone elaborated on the technical disparities that favor Tyson. “Mike is low to the ground,” he explained, illustrating Tyson’s advantage with a scenario: “throw a right hand, Mike’s here, bang to the body, comes up top.” He predicted that Paul’s amateur tendency to “go straight back” would make him vulnerable to Tyson’s “incredible uppercut.”

Transitioning to Tyson’s strategic prowess, Stallone admired the former heavyweight champion’s ability to pivot and maneuver. “Mike will be here; he’ll pivot here…this guy doesn’t pivot,” he said, showcasing how Tyson’s movement could outclass Paul. Finally, he acknowledged Tyson’s age but praised his strategic mindset. “He’s been in the biggest fights in history,” Stallone stated, confident that Tyson would “walk him down, come in, pick his shots,” and ultimately, if “they’re using 10 ounce gloves, I guarantee you it’s lights out.”
