“It’ll Be…”: John Fury Weighs-In on Potential Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou MMA Rematch

The announcement of Francis Ngannou vs  Tyson Fury did raise some eyebrows in the boxing world. However, the fight is as real as it can get and the fans are only a few weeks away to witness it take place. ‘The Gypsy King,’ is the current WBC heavyweight champion. He has been undefeated after competing for more than a decade against formidable opponents. Meanwhile, Ngannou in his own right, can present problems to Fury. He has never boxed before and will rely on his knockout power. Consider the fact that he holds the record of most hardest punch ever thrown.

If he does land a clean punch, he could well very avail a stoppage. However, it bears mention that Fury has been boxing for years and the chances of him being caught off-guard is slim. What will happen in the fight? Only time can reveal. But will the two meet again in a MMA bout? John Fury, father of the WBC heavyweight champion weighed in.

Is Francis Ngannou vs Tyson Fury in MMA a possibility?

In the world of combat, cross-over bouts are not ubiquitous. However, it is seldom to witness a boxer, transitioning to MMA and competing in the octagon. This upcoming bout is one such example. The two combatants, of two different sports will meet in the ring. Moreover, the possibility of them squaring off against each other was not considered at all. However, that does not mean that it is not a possibility. In a recent turn of events, John Fury reveals that it would only be reasonable for Fury to compete against Ngannou in the octagon after their bout in the ring. He asserted that Fury could very well learn MMA and compete if he so desires. Reflecting on the same, in an interview with Daily Mail sport boxing, he stated, “Well, it’s food for thought, isn’t it? It’ll be fair I suppose? If it would have been me, I would have gone for it anyways. Like I said, Ngannou do what he is good at. Tyson do what he good at. You know Tyson can kick and punch and elbow, he can do all that. Don’t worry about that but that’s for another day.”
