Shane Mosley Jr., 33, is currently in urgent need of a new promotion or a renewed contract with Golden Boy. Although he is near the end of his prime with no major title on his resume, Mosley Jr. is averse to following in the footsteps of Mike Tyson and fighting in either his 40s or 50s. In his latest appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Mosley Jr, besides lauding Jake Paul, revealed if he would face Mike Tyson before hanging his gloves!

Although Mike Tyson has turned 58, he wants to and will face Jake Paul this November at AT&T Stadium, Arlington. Should this decision taken by Tyson motivate other boxers to continue boxing way past their prime? Honest, Shane Mosley Jr. feels otherwise.

Unlike his father Shane Mosley who had his last fight at age 44, Mosley Jr. thinks it is ideal that he achieves all his goals in the sport by the end of his prime. As per the 33-year-old boxer who formerly held the WBO NABO Middleweight title, fighting past one’s prime for financial or other reasons means one failed in the sport of boxing.
