Age plays a huge factor when it comes to combat sports. You have to start at the right age to succeed well as an athlete. However, there have been instances in the past where a fighter retires at the age of 35, while someone aged the same makes his debut. Similarly, boxing legend George Foreman shocked the world when he was crowned the oldest Heavyweight champion in the sport.

The boxer first sought retirement from the sport in 1977, following his loss to Jimmy Young. But more than a decade later, Foreman returned to boxing and became the world heavyweight champion for the second time on November 5th, 1994. Reportedly, he won the title at 45 and lost it at 46.
