It’s been five years since Deji Daniel Olatunji began his boxing journey. He debuted with an amateur bout against Jake Paul, which he lost. The most recent pro match occurred against Swarmz four months ago. Olatunji’s record hasn’t been as encouraging as that of his elder brother, KSI. It appears that matters have taken a different turn with his trainer, Leon Wills. While it remains unclear what transpired at the latter’s end, Olatunji seemingly took matters into his own hands. He released a video citing his displeasure with what Wills reportedly said about him.
So, in @HappyPunch‘s tweet, Deji Olatunji says that Leon Wills, his trainer, is aware and can attest that he has had one or two opponents back out of the competition. Wills also knows he has been frequenting Daley’s gym to work on his technique and conditioning. Ever since the post came out, a barrage of comments flew in. But a close perusal of the comments reveal that most fans consider it a case of much ado about nothing.

Nothing out of the ordinary – Fans
The following user feels it was merely a passing remark in response to a question from Wills. In no way does it bear any significance. Otherwise, did anyone expect the coach to lie? The user asks. It’s no big deal if Leon Wills posted something online criticizing Olatunji.
Honestly its not even a big deal, it was just a quick comment to a question he was asked. Was he suppose to lie? If Leon made a tweet or video bashing Deji I understand but this nothing to cry about

The following fan probably understands what Deji Olatunji is trying to convey. However, whatever is said and done, Leon Wills is an honorable man. What is apparent is the absence of motivation in Olatunji.
i understand what deji is saying but leon is fine man, deji don’t got that drive 🙁

This user highlights that Leon Wills hasn’t identified any issues with Deji Olatunji’s elder brother, KSI, or AnEsonGib because they didn’t avoid hard training. But not visiting the strength and conditioning trainer for four months is the genuine problem. It’s inexcusable.
Leon hasn’t outed JJ (when he was training) or Gib because they aren’t slacking in training, Not seeing your Strength & Conditioning coach in 4 month is crazy. No excuses

Calling out Olatunji’s behavior as churlish, this fan states matter-of-factly that it doesn’t matter if Wills has been lying about not seeing him for four months or that he hasn’t been following his diet religiously. The YouTuber-turned-boxer was always fat and out of shape.
man child side coming out again, who cares if he said he hasn't seen u in 4 months especially if its true, not been strict with the diet? you've never been in shape lol
— Pat (@PatrickSimel28) September 15, 2023
Finally, this user says that the rule applies to Olatunji as well. He and Wills might have had a one-on-one conversation to settle their differences. There’s no credible reason for him to make an entire video.
The same applies to Deji. He could talk to Leon privately as well and sort out the differences. Why did he make a whole video.

Deji Olatunji admits to not being as careful with his diet as he should have been. But he said there’s no need to openly state that he hasn’t been able to see Wills during the last four months.

Deji Olatunji objected publicly
Olatunji said, “… It’s not cool to publicly say that stuff and [know] that it’s [going to] slander my image in terms of boxing. I’ve been getting nothing but negative comments. It’s just not needed, especially as I’am one of your fighters. You should know not to brandish me [in] some type of way because it’s not even [a] good look for you. It’s a very bad look, in my opinion.”
Deji Olatunji fought an exhibition match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. last year at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena. He lost the battle via technical knockout. However, he garnered considerable publicity by handing the undefeated former champion a ‘black eye.’ It was his fourth defeat. However, six months later, he turned the tables and, during MF & DAZN: X Series 007, defeated Swarmz unanimously.
