Boxing rings are no strangers to heavy hits, but when the blows come from a corner not ordinarily associated with such strikes, they take on a whole new level of shock. Chris Eubank Sr, boxing royalty and father to Chris Eubank Jr, took to the airwaves on talkSPORT recently, delivering a series of verbal jabs that appeared to strike as hard as any physical blow.
A candid conversation served as the battleground, where the elder Eubank exchanged his renowned gloves for words, painting a startling picture of his fractured relationship with his son. Yet, in an intriguing twist, it wasn’t his son’s defeat to Liam Smith that seemed to concern Eubank Sr most. The real issue ran far deeper, presenting a father-son rift that reveals much about the behind-the-scenes drama of professional boxing.
