A glimpse at Tommy Fury’s professional fights
Debut Bout vs. Jevgenijs Andrejevs: On December 22, 2018, Tommy Fury met the southpaw from Latvia, Jevgenijs Andrejevs, at the Manchester Arena. The former won the four-rounder match on points against an opponent who had lost more than a hundred bouts!
vs. Callum Ide: The following year, on March 23, 2019, Tommy Fury faced Sussex native Callum Ide, who had yet to win a single bout since debuting. And ‘TNT’ won the fight at the Leicester Arena via knockout in the first round.
vs. Przemyslaw Binienda: Tommy Fury’s third fight was against Przemyslaw Binienda from Poland on December 21, 2019. At the time of the battle, the latter’s record stood at twenty-six losses against only two wins. Like the second bout, Fury allowed the match to go up to the first round only. He won the battle through a technical knockout at London’s Copper Box Arena.
vs. Genadij Krajevskij: Tommy Fury’s fourth fight occurred in London’s BT Sport Studio on November 13, 2020. Of Lithuanian origin, the “Baltic Bomber,” like Callum Ide, hadn’t won a single fight since his debut in 2018. Nevertheless, ‘TNT,’ repeating the past instances, ended the match with a second-round knockout victory.
vs. Scott Williams: Tommy Fury’s second match at London’s Copper Box Arena on February 27, 2021, was against fellow Briton Scott Williams. Debuting in 2019, Williams is yet to win a single fight. Tommy Fury stopped the battle in the second round with a technical victory.
vs. Jordan Grant: ‘TNT’ faced Scotsman Jordan Grant in his sixth professional bout and won via points. The fight took place on June 5, 2021, at Telford International Center.
Fights that took place during negotiations for the scheduled bout with Jake Paul
vs. Anthony Taylor: Tommy Fury made his United States debut on August 29, 2021, fighting Jake Paul’s sparring partner Anthony Taylor. It was a part of the undercard for the Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley fight. Fury emerged victorious with a unanimous decision from the judges.
As it turned out, a chest infection and a rib injury forced Fury to withdraw from his initially scheduled fight against Jake Paul on December 18, 2021. However, he returned to the ring on April 23, 2022, in the undercard of his brother Tyson Fury’s match against Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium in London.
vs. Daniel Bocianski: Fury won the six-round match against Polish Daniel Bocianski on April 23 last year at Wembley Stadium via points.
The second match between Tommy Fury and Jake Paul was scheduled for August last year. But on account of visa-related issues, the former couldn’t travel to the US, so this fight too caved in. As it turns out, per the latest announcement, Fury and Paul would finally face each other on February 26 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, ‘The Gypsy King’, in an interview with talkSPORT, has given an ultimatum to his younger brother, ahead of his Jake Paul fight.

The Fury family possesses some boxing knowledge, and Tyson, the eldest sibling, has passed down his expertise to his brothers. Despite Tommy’s potential, he has had an easy time in his limited fighting career against not-so-successful boxers. Like other fighters, he probably needs to climb the professional boxing ladder, competing against opponents of comparable ability. However, due to TNT’s celebrity status, his matches are heavily marketed to attract a large audience.
So far, Tommy has faced three inexperienced fighters and has won all of them by knockout, maintaining an undefeated 8-0 record in professional boxing. However, his impressive performance is partly due to needing more adequately matched opponents.
