Floyd Mayweather recently claimed Logan Paul was a better choice of an opponent than a big-name boxer like Tyson Fury. The undefeated champion cited their social media fame and explained why a fight against the YouTube star would make more sense to him.
Mayweather will take on Logan Paul in an exhibition bout. The first date for the event was February 20. However, they had to push that forward to a new date. Now, ahead of their proposed fight, Mayweather said Fury is no comparison to Paul.

What is the reality between Tyson Fury and Logan Paul in boxing?
Despite the extreme difference in followers between the two, several aspects make Logan Paul lesser famous than Tyson Fury. In addition, there is also another aspect that reduces the value of the number of followers.
Paul’s followers come from five different social media outlets; Fury only has three. Therefore, it is unfair to compare. Moreover, social media is Logan Paul’s primary focus, while for Fury it’s arguably his last priority. It would be like comparing the champion’s boxing record to Paul’s.

Moreover, the translation of followers to fans will be low in the case of ‘The Maverick’. Although Paul may have over 50 million more followers than Fury, it is ‘The Gypsy King’ who is more likely to sell out an arena for a boxing fight.
Although Mayweather was right in terms of the numbers on social media, Logan Paul’s followers are no match to Tyson Fury’s passionate fans in a boxing sense.
