Tyson Fury’s modest £550K five-bedroom Morecambe home

Tyson Fury’s real estate story began with his £550,000 five-bedroom home in Morecambe, a home that he shares with his wife Paris Fury, and their seven children. The Gypsy King has earned a lot throughout his boxing career and is set to do so again in his upcoming bout against Oleksandr Usyk on December 21 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

Despite his success and wealth, Fury remains deeply connected to his roots in the small town of Morecambe, where he owns two homes. While speaking on a three-part ITV documentary in 2020, The Gypsy King explained his choice to live in Morecambe. He said, “Why would I abandon my own country for a bit of money and some fame?” Moreover, reflecting on his love for his homeland, he added, “I love it. I would never leave Morecambe. It’s true beauty.”

The Fury family lived in a house where his old digs were filled with homages he earned by fighting countless fights inside the octagon. According to a report in the Sun, he lives in a house where the titles he won over his glittering career are adorned next to a framed picture of him celebrating his stunning 2015 upset of former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Fast forward to 2021, he now lives in a £1.7 million mansion, also located in Morecambe itself. The property’s location reflects Fury’s attachment to the town, which he has frequently described as his “safe haven.”

The “Golden” mansion, i.e., the £1.7 million property, is a testament to Tyson Fury’s success and his penchant for luxury. His mansion boasts a magnificent interior design, featuring gold-accented decor, a grand piano in the hallway, chandeliers, and expansive living spaces.

Tyson Fury’s home on the Lancashire coast was built on land that once had a small caravan. The previous owner replaced it with a grand stone-clad mansion where the Fury family now lives. The house is secured by a sturdy wall and a black-and-gold wrought-iron fence, offering plenty of privacy. Decorative touches like lion motifs and eagle sculptures on the gates are a reflection of Fury’s bold personality. The new spacious and luxurious home is a perfect retreat for the Gypsy King and his family.

Tyson Fury’s plans to build £2.5M mansion rejected

Fury’s aspirations for an even grander property recently hit a roadblock. His plan of constructing a £2.5 million mansion in Cheshire was rejected by local authorities. According to the reports from Independent TV, the proposed property, which was to feature cutting-edge architecture and unparalleled luxury, including a pool, jacuzzi, and home cinema was deemed incompatible over the fear of disturbing rare bats in their surroundings.

Apparently, hibernating bats were discovered during a survey of a building in Cheshire’s affluent “Golden Triangle” neighborhood, a popular area for celebrities. If the 36-year-old plans on applying for permission again, he will need to submit a biodiversity proposal to council conservation officer James Baggaley, including provisions for nesting birds like house sparrows and gaps in garden fences for hedgehog movement. To add to it, the current mansion was also featured in the Netflix show—”At Home with the Furys”, and Tyson Fury’s fans are well familiar with it.

With that being said, if you were designing a dream home, what luxury features would you prioritize?
