Tyson Fury poleaxed Deontay Wilder twice in a row to cement his position as the WBC heavyweight champion. He ended Wilder’s unbeaten reign and took him to a point where ‘The Bronze Bomber’ is seemingly looking to hang up his gloves. The Fury-Wilder rivalry has been filled with mutual hatred and several moments of trash talking.
However, Fury has always acknowledged his American rival’s knockout power. He keeps a similar approach to this day and has backed Wilder to have elementary work over Anthony Joshua in a potential clash. Both Wilder and Joshua are knockout artists and former world champions. That said, they now have two losses respectively in their careers.

While statistically, they may hold similar grounds, Tyson Fury didn’t give Anthony Joshua a chance against Deontay Wilder. Turning to his social media profile, ‘The Gypsy King’ pinpointed a fan-made poster of Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, claiming, “I would say ‘Bronze Bomber’ would KO the bum inside three rounds”.
Before Tyson Fury took over the heavyweight division, Wilder seemed invincible. The same goes for Anthony Joshua, who was on a flawless run a few years back. Several boxing fans pitched the AJ vs Wilder fight at that point. Nevertheless, it never happened and doesn’t seem to be taking place soon.

Wilder and Joshua are now on the different ends of the heavyweight title race. While Wilder is considering a possible retirement, AJ is in desperate need of reviving his championship status. In this situation, WBC titleholder, Tyson Fury, has a major role to play.

According to the existing heavyweight scene, Tyson Fury will put his WBC belt on the line against Dillian Whyte. Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua will rematch Oleksandr Usyk for the lost WBA WBO, IBF, and IBO belts. The winner of these two potential fights can collide for an undisputed heavyweight title matchup. Wilder doesn’t seem to have any holdings in the tale.

That said, the former champion can reclaim his position by grabbing an immediate win. Deontay Wilder is still an A-lister in the division and can compete in various big matchups, especially when the division has so much to offer.
