One of the biggest breakups between a promoter and pugilist is none other than Canelo Alvarez and Oscar De La Hoya. It was so bad that Alvarez even filed a lawsuit against De La Hoya’s promotional banner, Golden Boy Promotions. The lawsuit was for a breach of contract by the promotion agency. De La Hoya presented the DAZN’s lucrative deal in front of him in 2018, which was an 11-fight, $365 million deal. And Alvarez fought three fights under that contract, but then he ended the deal after that. And then in 2020, he officially left the Golden Boy Promotions and shook hands with Eddie Hearn‘s Matchroom Boxing.
But now after three years, Canelo Alvarez’s team and Oscar De La Hoya are in agreement over a topic. Although in 2021, De La Hoya criticized Alvarez’s boxing. And Canelo responded to him by calling him a ‘traitor’. De La Hoya even made bold statements about Alvarez’s last bout against John Ryder. But now it’s coming back in full circle, with this particular topic, as De La Hoya and Canelo’s team found themselves on the same page.

Just a few hours ago, the lightweight superstars, Devin Haney and Vasyl Lomachenko shared the ring together. Now even though Haney won the bout by a unanimous decision, there are many boxing fans who think otherwise. Many believe that Lomachenko was robbed of this victory.
Loma’s team has also come forward during the post-fight interview where they declared that they’ll be making an appeal against this decision as they deem it to be unfair to the Ukrainian boxer. Now, Oscar De La Hoya and Canelo’s team share their agreement with their subjective stances on the Haney vs. Loma bout.

Well, a similar stance was taken by Ryan Garcia‘s promoter as he also tweeted showing his disagreement with the fight’s decision. And he even went on to say that whosoever thinks Loma didn’t win the bout, they don’t know anything about the sport of boxing.
Whoever thinks Loma didn’t win does not know shit about boxing.
