The highly anticipated return and subsequent bout with Chihuahuan native Oscar Duarte ended in a TKO victory for Ryan Garcia. Although, the atmosphere is a celebratory one for gARCIA FANS, as boxing pundits are dissecting Garcia’s strange execution in the ring.
This bout has stirred up quite a buzz in the boxing world, as the young fighter attempted to channel his inner Floyd Mayweather with a unique leaning-over technique while executing a shoulder roll. In spite of his 8th-round TKO, superstars of the boxing world are weighing in on the odd move, and commenting on the leaning maneuver, instead of offering the 25-year-old their congratulations.

The real drama unfolded in the eighth round, a moment that would etch itself into the annals of boxing history. Garcia, facing boos from a disapproving crowd, unleashed a thunderous check left hook followed by a relentless barrage that sent his opponent, Oscar Duarte, crashing to the canvas. The Mexican boxer couldn’t beat referee’s count prompting the latter to stop the fight
Moreover, Deen the Great even threw a cash challenge into the mix, promising to reward anyone if Garcia took a knee during the bout.

Furthermore, fans urged Garcia to reflect on his leaning-back strategy during shoulder rolls, suggesting that it exposed him defensively. Despite his recent comeback win, Garcia finds himself entangled in a loop of uncertainty, grappling with a streak of bad luck.
Ryan Garcia can’t catch a break
In spite of the 8th-round TKO, with almost everything going against him, Garcia undoubtedly gets the job done. This is despite his own promoters, boxing bigwig and Founder of Golden Boy Promotion, Oscar De La Hoya, and co-founder Bernard Hopkins allegedly being against him, as he pointed out in a recent presser for the bout.
Subsequently, Garcia’s lawyer and adviser, Guadalupe Valencia recently went on the record to release a statement stating unequivocally that the recent public statements from De La Hoya and Hopkins have been incredibly peculiar. In a forceful declaration, Valencia stated, “A promoter’s role is to boost a fight and support the fighters, particularly when dealing with a superstar like Ryan Garcia. I doubt anyone, whether in or outside of boxing, believes they are effectively promoting Ryan. It’s genuinely perplexing why Oscar De La Hoya and Bernard Hopkins make such unusual remarks.”
I talked to @OscarDeLaHoya today.
He went into detail discussing his fractured relationship with @RyanGarcia.
"The hardest part is being his promoter."
Oscar also said Ryan asked for a 143-pound catchweight vs. Duarte.
"I am concerned."

The lawyer, asserting that Ryan is an intelligent individual capable of independent thought, further challenged the notion that Garcia is easily swayed by those in his circle. “Ryan is more astute than them. He doesn’t require a team to decipher what they are saying. It’s not plausible to construct a narrative that he is receiving misguided advice.”
At the heart of the matter appears to be the promoters’ comments regarding Garcia, prompting Valencia to express his disappointment in the behavior of those responsible for advancing Garcia’s career.
