Tyson Fury, today, has become a household name and the new face of Heavyweight boxing. He sits atop the throne of his division, having battled the toughest warriors and adversities to reach the spot.
Fury’s story is one that moves anyone who hears it. The way he battled through depression and addictions to make a dynamic comeback to the heavyweight division is beyond inspiring. Not only that, but he also rose back up the ranks, and faced “The Bronze Bomber“, Deontay Wilder, in two exhilarating bouts.

While the first bout ended in a controversial draw, Wilder faced a devastating loss the next time he faced Fury. Tyson dominated Wilder right from the beginning of their rematch, handing him the first loss of his career. It was then when he reserved himself a spot amongst the greatest names of the sport.
Thus, anyone who knows anything about the sweet science today knows who Tyson Fury is. Even those who don’t follow the sport are now aware that these are the times of The Gypsy King’s reign.
But, it seems like Fury does not care whether people know him, or whether they’ll remember him or not. In an interview with BT Sport Boxing, here is how he said he would describe himself,
“I’ll tell you how I’d do it. I’d say I’m a big, fat Heavyweight with a bald head. And with plenty of heart to fight. That was it. I’m not interested in being remembered, anyway. I’ve said that many, many times.”
“I look forward to the future”- Tyson Fury does not like dwelling in the past
Carrying on with the interview, Tyson said,
“I’m enjoying my life now. I’m not looking at the past today. I live every day as [if] it’s my last. And I enjoy every moment. It’s been a nice couple of hours here, looking back and reflecting. But, again, I don’t dwell [in] the past. I have no interest in what happened yesterday. I live for today, I look forward to the future. And that’s it.”
Of course, that is a brilliant and most accepted way of living happily. Yet, this does not mean that Fury’s most exciting battles are in the past.
In fact, The Gypsy King is heading towards the opportunity of making his legacy even more unforgettable.
Due first is his contractually mandated rematch with Deontay Wilder. And one can imagine just how thirsty for revenge the powerful American is. If not, he has made it pretty clear in numerous interviews.

Moreover, if Fury crosses the obstacle in Wilder, he will be heading to lock horns with Anthony Joshua in a title unification bout. If Fury manages to beat AJ too, he will acquire a whole different level of credibility as he will become the unified Heavyweight Champion of the world.
However, there are a lot of “ifs” to overcome for that to happen. Do you think Tyson Fury will be able to go on and create history by becoming the unified Heavyweight Champion?
