After weeks of build-up, controversy, and criticism, fans finally witnessed Floyd Mayweather take on YouTuber Logan Paul. The undefeated superstar rolled back the years with another clinical defensive performance against ‘The Maverick.’

The two fought as the main event of an exciting card. Several aspects of the fight caught the attention of viewers including a wet canvas during an undercard fight. And the main event would certainly have surprised a few fans and critics. However, after the bout, ‘Money Mayweather’ made a bold admission about his performance.

The 50-0 boxer spoke about the fight and the event at the post-fight interview. He said, “I had fun. You got to realize, I’m not 21 anymore. But it’s good to move around with these young guys, test my skills, just to have some fun.”

‘TBE’ then admitted, “Great young fighter, strong, tough… he’s better than I thought he was.” 

He then also said ‘The Maverick’ surprised him. Thus, these comments from Mayweather revealed why he could not knock out the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

These comments from ‘Money Mayweather’ not only revealed why he could not finish Paul, but they also showed Mayweather’s intention with the bout. The former multi-weight world champion was evidently content with having fun in the ring and taking home a massive paycheck.

However, Mayweather also spoke about his next move. He said, “We don’t know what the future holds. I’ll be talking about it with my team, and see where we go from here. You got to realize I’ve been in this sport 25 years. And I understand that I’m not 21, I’m not 25… But I had fun tonight.”

Therefore, ‘TBE’ did not entirely rule out another exhibition bout. Before the Logan Paul bout, he expressed his interest in facing the likes of Jake Paul and 50 Cent next. Thus, he has no shortage of options. However, it will be no surprise if that was Mayweather’s last time in the ring as a fighter.
