In the aftermath of his comeback victory, Conor Benn found himself embroiled in a feud with an old foe. For quite some time, Benn faced adversity in his boxing career. Everything started with the discovery of a banned substance in his system, getting his boxing license revoked. Even after he was allowed to fight in America, the UKAD and BBBofC appealed the decision. However, things are starting to look up for the ‘Destroyer.’

After being away from the ring for over a year, Benn finally made his comeback on 24 September. His comeback fight was against Rodolfo Orozco, which he won via unanimous decision. While the dust barely started settling, Benn has potentially found himself his next opponent. It’s none other than Chris Eubank Jr. The two fighters were supposed to face off against each other back in October 2022. But the fight fell apart because of Conor’s drug debacle.

One day after taking down Rodolfo, Benn replied to a tweet from Eubank Jr. Benn wrote, “I’m knocking you clean out in 3 rounds !!!!” But the question is, what caused such a stinging reply from the undefeated boxer? Well, everything started from a tweet from Benn himself. Even though Benn did not direct the tweet at Eubank Jr., it made the potential fight between them inevitable.

In the initial tweet, Benn wrote, “Business Taken Care of in the 🇺🇸. 18 months out the ring and straight back to it‼️ 22-0.” Responding to Benn’s comeback win, Eubank Jr. had to get some words into the open. Eubank tweeted back, “You’re in DEEP SH** kid,” reigniting the rivalry between the generational adversaries.
