Female boxing is gaining interest with time. Many female boxers are household names in the sport. This sparks an entertaining competition between fighters, which increases the stakes and sells the seats. Claressa Shields is one such talent in the sport of female boxing. She has inspired other females to get into boxing by showcasing to the world the boxing acumen and skills a female can possess.
Meanwhile, Natasha Jonas, a boxer from the United Kingdom, is on the rise. She is a world champion boxer in multiple weight divisions. She has an impeccable understanding of the sweet science of boxing. Apart from her 2 losses and a draw, she has looked undefeated in her career.
Witnessing the same, the fans started comparing her with Shields and naturally, talks of a potential fight between the two commenced. Recently, Jonas expressed her desire to fight Shields, to which she had a vehement response.

Claressa Shields has all the confidence in the world against Natasha Jonas
Jonas was asked about how she foresees her potential fight against Shields. To which she stated, “You know everyone talks about and whatever, whatever, but you know, she’s got to come down to 154. She is fast. Is she faster than Katie? I don’t believe so and just I think it’s time. I’m confident I’m active, which I’ve always said would be dangerous. I have got nothing to lose, and that’s a dangerous fighter.”

That was a fairly respectable and analytical response from her end. But the same was not reciprocated by Shields. She took to Twitter and stated, “She didn’t say she could beat me either just compared my hand speed to Katies and said she considers herself a dangerous fighter cause she’s been active! All I care about is the signed contract @TashaJonas! Let’s fight cause I’m gonna end ya Barbie doll!!! And yes I’M NOT KATIE!”

Shields was indeed not intimidated by her. Rather, she is as confident as she can be. Though the sport is unpredictable and only time will tell who will be the victor in this fascinating match.
Natasha Jonas becomes the first woman to win BBBofC British Boxer of the year
Jonas has had a very successful last few years. The cherry on top of the cake for her was when she became the first-ever woman to win the best boxer of the Year at the British Boxing Board of Control’s annual awards.
