Keyshawn Davis is on the right track of being one of the brightest prospects in boxing today. However, this ban seems to have thrown a wrench in those plans. But that isn’t to say that the young athlete’s defiance in the face of adversity is nothing short of inspiring. He said, “Hey, they cancel my *hit, alright. I’m gonna go buy a house. They’re gonna cancel me? Okay, 9-month suspension? Alright, let me go buy a house real quick.” He went on to say that he bought a home in the very place they gave his suspension ruling.

For Davis, this suspension is not a stumbling block but an opportunity to channel his energy into something tangible and lasting. “I had to go put it into something, had to go secure it in something, you know what I’m saying?” he explained. With tax time around the corner, Davis seized the moment, demonstrating his astute business acumen.

In a world where setbacks often dampen spirits, Davis’s swift and decisive action sends a powerful message. He’s not just a fighter inside the ring; he’s a fighter in life, navigating challenges with unwavering determination. “I just want to show you all that I’m happy, you know what I’m saying? I don’t got nothing to say, no boxing, no nothing. I’m just happy. Can I show y’all happiness? This is true happiness. When they cancel me, okay, I’m gonna go buy a house on their a**. I don’t care. Go ahead, cancel me for 90 days,” he declared with conviction.

While the boxing world debates his suspension, Davis has chosen to focus on building a foundation for his future.

In addition to the previously mentioned points, marijuana has been cited as a substance used to conceal performance-enhancing drugs, owing to its diuretic properties. According to ESPN, His previously recorded victory over Nahir Albright on Oct. 14 has been nullified, and he is set to return to the ring in mid-January. Davis, who was slated for a fight with former champion Jose Pedraza on Dec. 9, might reschedule the match for early 2024, as confirmed by Top Rank Boxing. Notably, marijuana is legal in 23 states and is not on the banned substance list in the UFC, NBA, MLB, or NHL, but it remains prohibited by the NFL.

However, going by the way the rules are set now, and the technicalities, the 90-day suspension is on par with the commission’s policies.
