Multi-champion Amanda Serrano called out promoter Eddie Hearn on Twitter. However, her tweet did not go unnoticed as her opponent Katie Taylor responded immediately.
Serrano and Taylor were supposed to clash in May. But the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic forced almost all major sporting events to shutdown. The duo was matched up for the second time in July.
Unfortunately, things didn’t pan out as they were supposed to, and the bout was moved again. Both women will now face off against each other on August 22 (Dillian Whyte vs Alexander Povetkin).

It does not sound like a problem, right? Well, Serrano is unhappy with the way things have been carried out. She assumed that she was offered a reduced pay for her fight in August. And lashed out at Eddie Hearn.
Yes I signed 4 contracts to fight @KatieTaylor & despite what lies @EddieHearn wants to say he offered us a purse deduction & a change of location in addition to yet another date May 2nd, July 4th now August 22nd my team will handle this. I’m Not a Toy I’m DONE WITH THE GAMES!

Eddie Hearn responds to Amanda Serrano’s accusation
Taylor’s promoter denied that Serrano will receive a purse deduction. He said that Serrano will get her full amount. And urged her to quit making excuses.
Your promoter will confirm that exactly one week ago today we confirmed in writing the new date and that you would be paid the full amount that was in your contract. Yes there were two date changes due to a slight global pandemic. You have 8 weeks no excuses!

Taylor also joined forces with Hearn and claimed that all financial barriers have been removed. Additionally, she also said that this fight will elevate the sport.

Meanwhile, Serrano’s argument with Hearn continued. Serrano stated that her manager told her a different story. Nevertheless, Hearn stood by his words and explained that Serrano’s original agreement will be honored. Furthermore, Hearn said that Taylor will take the pay cut instead of Serrano as “KT” is chasing legacy.

Enough for tonight. We know our position,we are 8 weeks from the fight, you have been training throughout and train in the same State as KT. Katie took YOUR purse reduction because she wants legacy. There is no reduction for you- we hope to see you for a great moment for the sport
