Jake Paul is officially unstoppable. Last night, at a packed Caribe Royale Orlando, the influencer-turned-boxer undertook his third fight for the year. Knocking down his opponent, Andre August, in the first round itself, Paul registered a groundbreaking victory, impressing spectators all over the globe. Without wasting any time, the fighter has now suggested a fighter that he’d like to lock horns with next.

In a striking response to his critics who have come at him for rarely fighting professional boxers, Jake Paul announced a clash against August a few months ago. Despite being relatively unknown, the latter was still a professional fighter, with an impressive win record. Now, after showing the face of defeat to August, Paul eyes another professional boxer, Viddal Riley, as a potential opponent.

In response to ‘Problem Child’s’ interest in fighting him, British fighter, Riley also seemed keen for the undertaking. In a video posted on his TikTok and later reposted to Twitter by Happy Punch, he noted, “If that’s his aspirations, mine are the same. Then, and we both weighing 200 pounds, then yes… that fight could happen down the line.” He added that he would be excited to defend his English cruiserweight title against the challenge of Paul. Calling it a fight for history, he suggested, “I think it would be one of the biggest fights probably, in boxing history. The amount of back story, the amount of build-up, it’d be crazy. Everyone would tune in for that.”

Earlier, moments after his August victory, at the press conference, he was quizzed on his choice between the likes of KSI or a professional fighter, namely Riley. Paul chose the latter. He remarked, “Yeah, for sure, that can happen. That’d be interesting. And he [Riley] has a name, a profile. And that’s something that excites me for sure.”

Right now, 26-year-old Paul hopes to bag a title in his name. A fight with Riley fight could lead him to that. Since both parties have agreed to a fight, one question pertains. When? Riley suggests not any sooner.

Riley hopes KSI vs. Jake Paul happens

Exploring the possible timeline as to when he would fight Paul, Riley noted that it wouldn’t be anytime soon. Perhaps not even in the coming year. He believes that Paul needs to come to a certain level to get a fight with him. So, who else can Paul fight meanwhile?

Riley invokes the infamous KSI vs. Jake Paul clash. Having trained the British rapper from 2017-2019, Riley has watched the calls for the fight closely. Hence, he understands the significance of it, at least for culture’s sake. “…he was supposed to fight JJ, innit? And I’d still like to see that fight happen just for the culture of it, just for the whole scene being created for, like it needs for that fight to happen,” said Riley.

On multiple occasions, KSI has called on his oldest and biggest rival, Paul, for an encounter in the ring. The latter, however, has shown very little interest in it. In October this year, ‘JJ’ lost to Tommy Fury, a fighter who had also given Paul his career’s first loss. Seeing JJ’s performance against Fury, Jake Paul vehemently denied ever fighting him. However, the world around them, including Riley, continues to anticipate it
