“I’d Rather Watch This”: Fans Go Wild After KSI and IShowSpeed Agree to a “Grudge Match” on the Same Day as Jake Paul vs. Andre August

December 15th is all set to become one of the biggest nights for influencer boxing. Jake Paul and KSI are set to take it a notch higher. The rivals will enter the ring on the same night, however, not against each other (yet, again). While Paul had already announced his big fight against Andre August for the 15th, uncoincidentally enough, KSI has now announced a massive spar for the same date.

The influencers-turned-boxers have been going back and forth to get a fight against each other. British rapper, KSI and the ‘Problem Child’ have frequently called on each other for a fight. In his effort (perhaps) to further this rivalry against Paul, KSI has announced his upcoming spar with a very popular YouTuber IShowSpeed.

Is KSI playing the offense against the ‘Problem Child’?

In the ring? We would know only if the two fighters faced each other off. But outside the ring? KSI is certainly on the offensive. Billed, “Grudge Match,” the event was confirmed by Happy Punch. As the news came to light, fans could not stop but debate over what appeared to be KSI’s tactics.

One fan predicted the event ending in the first round itself. They wrote, ” Speed with a speedy knock out first second.”

Another fan directed some lethal verbal jabs at KSI. They wrote, “KSI’s jealousy of Jake Paul is beyond limits. LSI”

A fan made it clear that they would rather watch KSI spar than Paul’s fight with Andre August. The commented, “I’d rather watch this tbh Imao.”

Another user relayed the confusion most fans will face on December 15th. They wrote, “I’d like to see this. But dang the Jake Paul fight though.”

These comments were followed by a fan’s optimism for KSI. They wrote, “This is gonna be one of the biggest livestreams ever.”

Meanwhile, how did this spar come about? What was the genesis?

An American YouTuber vs. a British Youtuber

Recently, YouTube fame, Darren Jason Watkins Jr. also known as ‘IShowSpeed’ called on JJ for a fight. He is a live streamer known for live-streaming games like Minecraft, FIFA, and Fortnite. Both KSI and the American YouTuber are familiar with each other and have on multiple occasions collaborated. Speed himself has called on KSI for a fight multiple times as part of friendly banter. After a long series of humorous public callouts, KSI has finally agreed to spar with his American counterpart.

Jake Paul announced his August fight on the 15th of August months after he defeated MMA fame, Nate Diaz, through a unanimous decision this year. He suffered his career’s first loss against Tommy Fury in February this year. KSI, on the other hand, fought Fury in October. He lost the fight via a unanimous decision.
