Boxing? Oh, yes. Golf? Yes. Skiing? Apparently, yes. Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez after having a fabulous year in the ring, has been spending some in Vail, Colorado skiing his way into 2024. While doing so, in all his savvy athleticism, he received praises from his fans, which at this point, he must’ve been accustomed to.

In September 2023, the Mexican fighter marked his smooth victory against Jermell Charlo, successfully defending his super middleweight titles. The win, a unanimous decision came easy to him, as he showcased his impeccable footwork and consistent jabs that he showered on his opponent who moved two weight classes for the fight. In the wake of it, he’s gone cruising with his family, and now skiing.

Fernanda Gomez, Canelo’s wife has been relentlessly posting snippets from their trip to Colorado where the family has exercised their extreme skiing skills. One of the boxing insiders on Twitter, Boxing n BBQ posted a video of him scoring bending corners. Fans, impressed with his skills could not stop expressing their excitement.

One fan called him a world-class athlete, someone who’s aced multiple avenues of sports. Canelo is a regular among celebrity golf leagues.

Another fan predicted a retirement for the fighter post his anticipated clash against David Benavidez slated to happen sometime this year.

After Canelo signed with PFL for a million-dollar, multi-fight deal, multiple options as his opponents emerged. Terence Crawford, Jermall Charlo, and Jaime Munguia. However, ‘The Mexican Monster’, has been a constant push by the fans. In October 2023, Benavidez defeated Demetrius Andrade, claiming the Interim WBC title. While Canelo has shown no certainty to fight Benavidez, the latter has been rather pestering for the fight. With most asking for the fight now, it leaves Canelo not with a lot of options but to fight Benavidez.
