Four-division titlist Canelo Alvarez has expressed a desire towards fighting in the UK, sending love towards the British fans. Alvarez has a rich history with British boxers. He has vanquished six Brits so far, and Billy Joe Saunders will be his seventh British opponent on May 8.

The P4P king, who has mostly competed in the USA, has attained global stardom. Hence, he responded to the fans from England in one of the best ways possible. While he is just a few days away from facing ‘Superb’ Saunders, Alvarez connected with the media to address his upcoming plans.

“I will love to fight in England. For me it’s a dream going to England and fighting in front of a lot of people from England. I have a lot of fans from there and I will love to be there,” said the 168 lbs champion. (H/T: Yahoo Sports)

The WBC and WBA super-middleweight title holder, Canelo Alvarez, will return to the AT&T Stadium in Texas this weekend. While he has already been super active since returning against Callum Smith, the experienced Alvarez is rightly the favorite against Saunders.

Meanwhile, both men had a vile build-up to the fight. The undefeated Saunders has expressed dissent against Alvarez under several parameters. He has ridiculed the idea of not having a judge from the UK. Moreover, Saunders has also complained about the ring size.

While Alvarez has all the love for his British fans, he doesn’t feel the same for ‘Superb’ Sanders. The P4P king has lashed at the WBO champion and has accused him of making “excuses”. Speaking with Brian Custer, Alvarez responded to Billy Joe Saunders‘ criticisms.

“We are in the USA country. I am not from here, I am from Mexico, he is from England. So, he is not a Mexican user. So, it’s just excuses, excuses, and excuses. But at the end of the day, I hope I don’t need the judges,” said Canelo Alvarez.
