In a recent turn of events, Oscar De La Hoya teases a Ryan Garcia return on Twitter. This revelation is an unexpected one as few weeks ago, Garcia and De La Hoya were trading hostile jabs online. Not to mention, ‘Golden Boy Promotions’ filed a suit against the 24 year old boxer for a ‘breach of contract.’ This exacerbated after Garcia’s bout against Gervonta Davis. Garcia was handed his first defeat and in the post-fight press conference, Garcia was not accompanied by his promoter. His absence did not sit well with the boxer and he did not shy away from making it public.
De La Hoya did not find his absence to be problematic and the two continued to argue over Twitter. Thereafter, it was reported that their dispute will transpire in litigation. Many considered that the ‘Golden Boy’ fighter would no longer compete under De La Hoya’s promotion. However, the two have resorted to verbal altercation in the past but have continued their partnership. Of late, De La Hoya announced Garcia’s return to the ring under Golden Boy Promotions and has left his fans confused.

He stated, “Hopefully he gets a tune up to acclimate at 140… Every Champ at 140 right now would be a heavy favorite. How about finding Munguia two Championship opportunities.. that would be impressive sheesh”
