The name of the British boxer Conor Benn has been buzzing this year but for all the wrong reasons. Last year, he got in trouble after the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) found some traces amounts of Clomiphene in his urine during a test. This caused his fight against Chris Eubank Jr. to fall apart as Benn doesn’t have the license to fight in the UK anymore. Although Benn shared his desire to face Eubank Jr. outside the UK, the latter fought Liam Smith instead.
However, Benn has since been cleared of all allegations by WBC. Though for now, it seems that Benn has no plans of fighting in the UK. He has made his decision known very well in an interview with Piers Morgan. However, it seems like he has changed his target to now Kell Brook who has already hung his gloves. He recently had an altercation with Brook on the ringside during the event Katie Taylor vs. Chantelle Cameron.
Kell Brook seemed pretty upset and claimed that if Benn sorts out his stuff with the BBBoC, they can make the fight happen. He was obviously moved by the atmosphere in the arena with the fans cheering and felt compelled to make a comeback. During a recent interview, boxing legend Ricky Hatton shared his thoughts on the duo’s altercation.

As of now, both Brook and Benn are going back and forth. Benn replied to Brook’s comments and said, “If you choose to fight me, it’s your death wish”. This comment came after Brook said that he would put Benn “Straight to sleep”. Benn claimed that he would not turn down a fight with a legend. Moreover, Brook replied to this and said, “I will put you straight to sleep, little boy. That’s what will happen.”
